One of our key sustainability initiatives involves incorporating recycled materials into our bags.
Recycled Water Base Polyurethanes:
Since 2018, our manufacturers switched their polyurethanes to water-borne and solvent-free polyurethanes. As well as being less energy and water intensive, they are made without solvents and therefore much safer for people to work with. Pollution problems do not exist during production process of water borne polyurethanes, there is no combination of solvents and organic compounds. Its synthetic agent is water, while emissions in the air are water vapors. The product does not contain organic solvents, non-DMFA, non-APEO, no organotin compounds and phthalate free.
We understand the importance of reducing waste and minimizing our ecological footprint. By utilizing recycled materials, we give new life to resources that would otherwise end up in landfills. From the exterior to the interior, our bags feature recycled materials, making sustainability an integral part of their construction.
In line with our values, we have embraced the use of innovative materials like apple leather, coffee leather and bamboo leather. Apple leather is a vegan alternative made from apple waste. This ground-breaking material not only replicates the luxurious look and feel of traditional leather but also reduces the environmental impact associated with animal agriculture and the use of synthetic materials. By opting for apple leather and our other vegan leather alternatives, we provide our customers with an ethical and sustainable choice without compromising on style or quality.
Additionally, we strive to incorporate recycled materials into our zippers and hardware whenever possible. By utilizing recycled metal alloys and plastics, we ensure that even the smallest components of our bags contribute to a circular economy.
